WWE NXT Battleground 2024 Preview

Below is the match graphic and WWE.com preview for each match:

Roxanne Perez will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace.

The new-look ruthless Perez has dominated her competition, and her arrogance has only grown since becoming a two-time champion, much to the chagrin of NXT General Manager Ava.

Tired of drawing the champion’s ire, Ava made the shocking announcement that Perez would be facing the TNA Knockouts Champion.

Can Perez survive her greatest test yet or will Grace become a double champion across two different companies?

The NXT Title will be on the line as Trick Williams battles NXT’s newest Superstar, Ethan Page.

Williams found himself in the crosshairs of The Meta-Four, but Noam Dar was mysteriously attacked backstage, leading Oro Mensah and Jakara Jackson to believe Williams was the attacker. Lash Legend, however, believed he was innocent.

Legend proved to be correct as “All Ego” Ethan Page made his shocking arrival to NXT where he revealed himself as the attacker and proceeded to attack the champion as well.

One week later, Page was met by Williams who demanded NXT General Manager Ava grant Page’s contract request and make the match at The UFC Apex.

The race to determine the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion will have to involve scaling a ladder in a huge Six-Pack Ladder Match.

Sol Ruca became the first entrant after she knocked off Izzi Dame in a fearsome contest on the May 14, 2024 episode of NXT. Lash Legend booked her ticket on the same episode, defeating Raw Superstar Ivy Nile to earn her place.

Taking a chance is apt for NXT Battleground, hosted at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, and one lucky Superstar will need all the luck in the world to punch their place in the record books.

Fallon Henley clinched a spot by defeating Thea Hail, proving that her new attitude is working wonders for her career.

Jaida Parker was next to punch her ticket by destroying Brinley Reece in a hotly contested matchup.

Michin qualified after defeating Tatum Paxley in a back and forth matchup, and the final spot went to Kelani Jordan after a hard fought win against Wren Sinclair.

Oba Femi will defend the NXT North American Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Wes Lee and Joe Coffey.

Lee returned to NXT after missing nearly six months due to an injury, and the former North American Champ wants to reclaim his title.

Coffey, meanwhile, made his own triumphant return when he and the rest of Gallus destroyed Lee, Ivar, and Josh Briggs on the May 14 episode of NXT.

The following week saw Lee, Briggs, and Coffey (who replaced an injured Ivar) in a No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match, but Lee and Coffey both pinned Briggs simultaneously, necessitating another Triple Threat Match, this time for the title.

Two of NXT’s toughest and baddest will square off when Shayna Baszler battles against Lola Vice in an NXT Underground Match inside The UFC Apex.

Baszler and Vice enjoyed a strong partnership for a time, but it imploded when the former two-time NXT Women’s Champion became disgusted with Vice’s dancing, leading to a major brawl between the two Superstars on the May 21 episode of NXT.

With both Superstars coming from MMA backgrounds, they’ll settle their differences in a brutal NXT Underground Match, where the only way to win is by knocking out or submitting your opponent.

The NXT Tag Team Titles will be on the line when Nathan Frazer and Axiom take on Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, The O.C.

Frazer and Axiom have proven to be fighting champions, but their greatest test has been Gallows and Anderson as The Good Brothers have attacked and destroyed the Tag Team Champs at every turn.

The bad blood culminated in another heinous attack by The O.C. after Frazer and Axiom defeated The D’Angelo Family to retain their titles on the May 21 episode of NXT.

Can Frazer and Axiom remain the NXT Tag Team Champions or will The O.C. capture NXT gold? Don’t miss NXT Battleground at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, streaming live at 8e/5p on Peacock in the U.S. and WWE Network everywhere else to find out!
