WWE King and Queen of the Ring Quick Results Feat. KOTR/QOTR Finals, Cody Rhodes vs Logan Paul and IC Triple Threat

WWE’s latest big event aired today when RAW and SmackDown unite for WWE King and Queen of the Ring. The event featured multiple championship matches (featuring Cody Rhodes vs Logan Paul for the Undisputed WWE Championship), the finals of the King and Queen of the Ring Tournament, and more. Hype going into the event seemed quite high, with WWE business on fire as of late. But who won the matches? Let’s move onto the results!


WWE King and Queen of the Ring Results

Below are the Countdown to WWE King and Queen of the Ring results and notes for 5/23/24:

  1. Michael Cole, Big E, Corey Graves and Big E hosted the Countdown panel. This is the first time the Countdown panel was on location in Saudi Arabia since Greatest Royal Rumble.
  2. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, WWE United States Champion Logan Paul, Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Lyra Valkyria, Nia Jax, Gunther, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens with WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, Bronson Reed, Chad Gable with Otis and x were seen entering the venue.
  3. Corey Graves had a multiple-part sit-down interview with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes earlier in the week to discuss his impact as champion, his past and his match with Logan Paul, amongst other topics.
  4. Pre-match/show interviews were held with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair/Jade Cargill, Lyra Valkyria, Paul “Triple H” Lesveque and WWE United States Champion Logan Paul.
  5. Individual vignettes of the Queen of the Ring finalists aired.
  6. Kevin Owens replaced Corey Graves in the second hour as Graves moved to the commentator’s table.
  7. Dominik Mysterio interrupted Liv Morgan’s interview to warn Liv to keep her hands from “Mami’s” Women’s World Championship.
  8. Wade Barrett summarized the road to the KOTR finals.
  9. WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill (c) defeated Candice LeRae and Indi Harwell by pinfall to retain.

Below are the WWE King and Queen of the Ring results for 5/23/24:

  1. Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan defeated Becky Lynch (c) by pinfall to become the new champion with help from Dominik Mysterio.
  2. WWE Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn (c) defeated Bronson Reed and Chad Gable by pinfall to retain.
  3. Queen of the Ring Tournament Final: Nia Jax defeated Lyra Valkyria by pinfall to win the tournament.
  4. King of the Ring Tournament Final: Gunther defeated Randy Orton by pinfall to win the tournament.
  5. Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) defeated WWE United States Champion Logan Paul by pinfall to retain.

Below are other relevant notes pertaining to WWE King and Queen of the Ring for 5/23/24:

    • Dominik Mysterio interfered during the Women’s World Championship match by attempting to give a steel chair to Becky, but the chair got used by Liv instead, which helped her with winning the title.
    • Chad Gable called Maxxine Dupri to go to the back during his entrance.
    • Sami Zayn’s entrance had a small vignette intro about his journey in Saudi Arabia.
    • Otis interfered on Gable’s command during the IC Title match and attacked Bronson Reed and, inadvertently, Chad Gable.
    • Chelsea Green joined a women’s rights conference in Saudi Arabia.
    • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill had a post-match interview where they reveled in their victory.
    • WWE Tag Team Champions A Town Down Under, DIY, Street Profits with B-Fab, Tiffany Stratton, Carmelo Hayes, Chelsea Green, Piper Niven, LA Knight were seen in the crowd.
    • Lyra Valkyria wore crow wings during her entrance.
    • Paul “Triple H” Lesveque presented the crowns for the Queen and King of the Ring Tournament winners.
    • A promo of UFC’s Fight Night event in Saudi Arabia with Arabian subtitles aired.
    • Becky Lynch announced that she’s going for her rematch against Liv Morgan at the next episode of Raw.
    • WWE announced Crown Jewel 2024 for Saturday November 2nd.
    • Triple H announced Damien Priest vs Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle.
    • Ibrahim Al Hajjaj was the special ring announcer for the main event. At the end of the match, he prevented Logan from using the brass knuckles on Cody when the referee was down.
    • Logan Paul’s manager sat at ringside and gave his client brass knuckles to help him with the match.
