WWE Backlash France 2024 Quick Results Feat. Rhodes vs Styles, Tag Team Chaos and Women’s Title Triple Threat

WWE’s latest big event aired today when RAW and SmackDown united for WWE Backlash France 2024. The event featured multiple championship matches, The Bloodline in action, and more. Hype going into the event seemed quite high, with WWE business on fire as of late. But who won the matches? Let’s move onto the results!


Backlash France Results

Below are the Countdown to WWE Backlash France results and notes for 5/4/24:

  1. Big E, CM Punk and Jackie Redmond host the Countdown panel from WWE Headquarters.
  2. Jey Uso, Triple H, Cody Rhodes, WWE Women’s Champion Bayley, Naomi, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga and a couple of other superstars were shown to enter the arena.
  3. Byron Saxton and Kayla Braxton interviewed Cody and AJ Styles off screen respectively about their moods going into the PLE.
  4. Byron Saxton interviewed Jey Uso and talked about his World Title challenge match later in the PLE.
  5. Peter Rosenberg talked about the World Heavyweight Championship match.
  6. A small bit of footage of the overall weekend (including house show tour in Italy/Austria, Kickoff and SmackDown) was shown.
  7. Kayla Braxton and Kevin Owens visited a chocolatier and drank cappuccino while Owens talked about his relationship with Randy Orton and about France.
  8. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill got interviewed about their Tag Team Championship shot at the PLE.
  9. The fans in France chanted for CM Punk, who was on the Countdown panel in WWE Headquarters.
  10. Byron Saxton gave a tour of the stage while the French commentary team already walked down the isle to seat on the commentary table.
  11. Kayla Braxton held a sit-down interview with AJ Styles about the main event.
  12. Sam Roberts made his thoughts known about the matches of Backlash before the show went live.

Below are the WWE Backlash France 2024 results for 5/4/24:

  1. No DQ: The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga defeated Randy Orton and Kevin Owens by pinfall.
  2. WWE Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) defeated Naomi and Tiffany Stratton by pinfall to retain.
  3.  World Heavyweight Championship: Judgement Day’s Damian Priest (c) defeated Jey Uso by pinfall to retain.
  4. WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defeated Kabuki Warriors (c) by pinfall to become the new champions.
  5. Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) defeated AJ Styles by pinfall to retain.

Below are other relevant notes pertaining to WWE Backlash France 2024 for 5/4/24:

  • Owens/Orton vs Bloodline started off with a huge brawl at ringside to where security came in to pull both apart before the match could begin. Nick Aldis restarted the match as a No DQ match.
  • Tanga Loa made his WWE return during the opener to aid Solo and Tama to win their match.
  • The Bloodline passed Jey Uso with Paul Heyman shaking his head as he passed him.
  • JD McDonagh and Finn Balor interfered in the WHC match against Damien’s better wishes. Both also attacked Jey Uso after the match until Damian repeatedly pushed them from attacking him.
  • Philippe Chereau announced that Backlash has the biggest gate for an arena show in WWE history at this time.
  • The brackets of the Raw side of the King and Queen of the Ring Tournament got revealed before the main event.
