Fans have wondered about the future of several WWE Network Originals in the wake of the company’s pivot towards licensing their documentaries to A&E and Peacock. Aside from select episodes of This Is Awesome, The Ultimate Show, and various compilations, new Originals have been sorely lacking for quite some time. Thankfully, subscribers will now be able to check out at least one new documentary soon.
WWE 24
WWE 24 is back! The extremely popular WWE Network Original is a documentary program that often highlights select superstars or major events. The series went dormant following the last episode airing on April 1st, 2022. That show looked back at the 2022 Royal Rumble.
The returning episode of WWE 24 will cover the two-night WrestleMania 38 Premium Live Event from last year. The special, WWE 24: WrestleMania 38 will air on both platforms on Monday, March 27th. Mondays were once the common date for new specials to drop, but that later shifted to after Premium Live Events and then again to Fridays.
The two-night extravaganza featured Cody Rhodes’ epic return to WWE, Stone Cold Steve Austin’s first match in almost 20 years, Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair, & much more. The company has evolved and changed radically in the year since, so looking back at the show could be even more intriguing than usual.
