Well, this is a weird one. WWE Network News can now confirm that WWE Sunday Night Heat is coming to WWE Network! The specific date for the upload is Monday, May 7th. While we can’t confirm the exact number of episodes coming right now, we can say that the show will be made available from the first episode in 1998. Sunday Night Heat began as a legitimate companion show for Raw when it was launched, though it quickly began to fade in importance, especially once SmackDown came into the picture. Even though Heat lost its luster rather quickly, it did stay relevant thanks to being the defacto pre-show for pay-per-view Sundays through the Attitude Era.
Regular readers will remember earlier this month that there was a strange situation involving the appearance of a “phantom” category for the programme in the vault section of WWE Network. It featured a default image and was completely empty. Within hours, it vanished, seemingly an unintended glitch. We’ll never know if that anomaly and this news were truly connected but either way, fans of this B-show are finally getting what they wished for.
Stick with WWE Network News for more details as we get them.
