Sometimes, there is WWE Network news that either doesn’t warrant a post of its own, or there simply isn’t time to get to it due to more pressing matters at the time. This can be a release date of a show, something removed from the service, or something else minor. The WWE Network News and Tidbits posts are here to catch multiple little bits of news and inform the readers. If you have any recent news or information we didn’t cover below, feel free to let us know in the comments section!
The first story this week is the only bad news presented in the article, likely to upset some while many surely haven’t noticed nor are they likely to care. The Subscriber’s Choice WWE Network Collection has been removed from the service. Subscriber’s Choice was a collection that would change quarterly based on WWE.com fan voting, usually centered around the big four pay-per-view events. When Summerslam came and passed without an update, it was a good indication it was a discontinued project, and shortly after the category was removed altogether.
As of the release of this article, much like with the Tribute To The Troops videos that were removed earlier this year, the content from the last Subscriber’s Choice is still available via search, however it is likely to be removed in the future. This removal, along with Hidden Gems Part I and II being moved to the vault section, means there is a total of 44 collections available on the service with the Austin vs. McMahon section containing two different collections in one. As noted previously, Asuka and Hell in a Cell are the themes for October’s upcoming playlists.

We finally have an update on the WWE 24 episode centered around Bill Goldberg. Many thought the episode titled WWE 24: Goldberg may no longer be coming due to how long it has been since initially advertised, however during the Goldberg Flashback Friday stream the WWE Network promoted the episode as coming this November. No official date has been mentioned, but we now know to expect it. This will be the latest in the year a WWE 24 episode has been released.
There has been four episodes of WWE 24 released this year thus far already. These include Wrestlemania Dallas, Wrestlemania Monday, Finn Balor, and Kurt Angle: Homecoming. WWE 24: Goldberg marks the fifth WWE 24 in 2017, which changes the routine of the prior two years where only four WWE 24 episodes were released each year. 2015 featured episodes centered around Wrestlemania 30, Booker T, Roman Reigns, and NXT Brooklyn. Meanwhile, 2016 featured episodes centered around Wrestlemania 31, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, and the Women’s Evolution.

As you’d likely have seen advertised multiple times now, WWE Story Time is back! This animated series featuring animated renditions of stories being told by WWE Superstars past and present will be starting the second season following RAW on Monday, September 18th. Interestingly, the WWE Network now displays a pop up notification when accessing the standard desktop website. It advertises the return of the series, while also linking you to the WWE Network version of the preview for the series’ return. This pop up also applies to WWE.com. Going forward, this may be utilized as a way to direct traffic to new programs.
And lastly, the long rumored and awaited Madusa documentary, titled Trailblayzer, is debuting on the service this week following NXT. For more information on both the return of Story Time and the debut of the Alundra Blayze documentary, be sure stay tuned for our New Next Week On WWE Network post.
Pop up notifications, a removed collection, and two new documentaries definitely made for a nice variety of news and topics. Did we miss anything?
